Requirements: You will need a Jug of Water and some logs. During the quest you will need to defend yourself from some level 14-26 thieves.
Like candy from a baby-
To start Monk's Friend, speak to Brother Omad in the Monastery below Ardougne Zoo. If you have trouble finding it, refer to the map below. Ask Omad why he can't sleep and he will complain about a crying baby. Apparently thieves stole the kids thieving blanket, take pity on him ask if you can help at all. He will gratefully tell you that the thieves have a hideout to the west hidden under a ring of stones and ask you to bring back the blanket.

Now head to the west to where the hideout is, marked Rocks on the above map, once you step inside the ring of rocks a ladder will appear. Climb down it and head into the room to the south, there a level 14 Thief and two level 26 Head Thieves which might attack you. Grab the Child's blanket off the table in the room then head back to the Monastery. Talk to Omad again and you will give him the blanket, ask if there's anything else you can help with and Omad will tell you that they are going to through a party but Brother Cedric hasn't returned with the wine. Ask who Cedric is and Omad will ask you if you will find him, ask where to look and Omad will say he probably took a wrong turn heading back from Ardougne. Go to Cedric, who's location is on the above map, and talk to him. He's drunk so give him a Jug of Water to sober him up. Now Cedric will ask you to help him fix his cart, agree to and he will say he needs some wood, talk to him once you have some logs and he will tell you to head back to Omad. Speak to Omad and you will get to witness a genuine Monk Party complete with dancing and balloons.
