Requirements: You need a Knife, a Pickaxe of any kind, 4 Coal, a Needle, Leather (soft), Thread, and a Hammer. You will also need to kill a level 35 monsters during the quest. You will need Crafting, Mining, and Smithing level 20 to complete the quest.
The Battered Key-
To start Elemental Workshop I, head to Seer’s Village and go into the house south of the anvil building that is west of the bank. Search the bookcase in the Northeast corner of the house to find a book called 'The Elemental Shield'. Read it to begin the quest, then use a knife on it to get a battered key, keep the book for later. Now head up into the building with the anvil and use the key on the odd looking wall which shows up as red on the mini map. Climb down the secret staircase and you will be inside the long lost Elemental Workshop. Now search the farthest Northeast crate in the room you’re in (the center room) for a stone bowl.
Work that Workshop-
Now it’s time to get the workshop working. First, head into the northern room. Turn the water controls on the east side of room first, then the western ones. Then pull the lever next to the water wheel to turn it on. After that, head into the eastern room and fix the bellows in the south end, then pull the nearby lever to turn the bellows on. Now head to the western room and attempt to mine an elemental rock, it will turn into a level 35 earth elemental. Kill the elemental and pick up the elemental ore it drops, then head to the southern room.
Elemental Smithing-
Use your stone bowl on the lava trough to fill it with lava, then use it on the furnace by the northern wall to pur out the lava. Now that the furnace is warmed up, use the elemental ore on it to make some Elemental Metal. Head back into the center room and use the metal on an anvil to make an Elemental Shield and complete the quest!
