Requirements: You need a Fishing Rod, a Spade, and 5 coins to do this quest.
A Friendly Dwarf-
To start Fishing Contest speak to one of the dwarves by White Wolf Mountain. Ask what is down the stairs, and then ask why you can’t go down them. Tell him that you wouldn’t mind him coming in your home if you were his friend, then ask to be friends with him. Ask him how to be his friend and he will mention a golden artifact he wants which is the prize at the Hemenster Fishing Contest. He will tell you he has a pass for the contest, but dwarves are bad at fishing. Then he will hand you the fishing pass, trusting you to win him the prize.
Supplies Sold Seperately-
In order to win this contest you will need to gather some supplies. First, make sure you have the supplies listed in the item requirements, then gather the following items: First up, on a table in the house South West of the bank in Seers Village you can find Garlic, grab one. Then head to McGrubor’s wood and squeeze in through the broken rail at the northern side of the woods. Head to the North West corner of the woods and gather 10 or so Red Vine Worms by Checking the vine.
Victory!-
Now that you have your supplies head to Hemenster, which is by the Ranging Guild. Head into the contest area by showing your pass then pay Bonzo 5gp to enter the contest. Search the sewage pipes next to the Sinister Stranger then use the garlic on them to make the Stranger move. Fish in his spot and you after you catch a few fish the contest will end and you will win, receiving the trophy. Bring it back to the Dwarf to finish the quest!
