Guide Map-

Odd Pets-
To start Scorpion Catcher, speak to Thormac on the top floor of the wizards’ tower below Seers' Village. Ask him what he needs assistance with and he will tell you that he has lost his rare pet scorpions. Ask how to catch them and he will give you a Scorpion cage then mention that a Seer could help you find the scorpions. Agree to do it to begin the quest, you can capture the scorpions in any order you like so feel free capture them out of order, once you have all 3 in your cage you will be ready to head back to Thormac. But first, head North to Seers' Village and ask one of the Seers about Scorpion Catcher. He will tell you the location of one of the scorpions, this may not seem necessary but it is.

Barbarian Scorpion-
You will find the first scorpion in the Barbarian Outpost up by Barbarian Assault, you need to have done the Barcrawl Mini Quest to get in the Outpost. Don’t try to pick up the scorpion, it will do 3 damage if you do, instead use the cage on it to capture it.

Holy Scorpion-
The second scorpion is in the second floor of the Monastery to the West of Edgeville. You need 31 Prayer to climb the ladder to the second floor, you will need to join the Monasteries order if you haven’t already. You will likely find the scorpion in one of the Eastern rooms, use the cage on it to capture it.

The Dusty Key-
The third scorpion is the hardest to reach, it’s in the Taverley dungeon. For this one you will need a dusty key or 70 agility for the obstacle pipe shortcut at the beginning of the dungeon. It would also be very helpful to have food, armor, antipoison, and an anti-dragon shield. If you don’t have a dusty key, you will need to follow the red trail on the above map until you come to the circle marked Jailer. In one of the southern cell you will see Velrack the Explorer, kill the nearby level 47 Jailer to get the jail key to his cell and go inside. Ask him if he knows anywhere good to explore and say yes when he offers you a key, now you have the Dusty Key, this key is useful so I suggest keeping it after the quest.

Hidden Scorpion-
Now that you have a Dusty Key go back to the Poison Scorpion and begin following the blue line on the above map. Next to the Lesser Demons you will have to use the Dusty key to go through the gate to the West. Equip your anti-dragon shield if you have it then run West and South past the Blue Dragons and then North past the Black Demons until you come to some Poison Spiders. Right between the Spiders and Demons is a room with the scorpion inside. One of the walls on the north end of the room will look odd and appear red on the mini map, search it to get inside then capture that scorpion. If you search the wall and don’t go inside, chances are you never talked to the Seer mentioned earlier in this guide.

A Happy Reunion-
Head back to Thormac and talk to him, he will be delighted to have his scorpions back and the quest will be complete.
