Forgiveness of a Chaos Dwarf

Requirements: For this quest you will need 61 Hunter, 61 Firemaking, and 69 Strength. You need to be able to fight a level 100 enemy, and need to have completed the Forgettable Tale of a Drunken Dwarf and Between a Rock… quests.
Well Guarded-
To start Forgiveness of a Chaos Dwarf, speak to Commander Veldaban in the Black Guard HQ building on the far west side of Keldagrim next to the bank. Ask him if he has a quest for you, and he says that he can’t get enough guards to do an investigation. Ask to help, and he will tell you that people have been going missing from Keldagrim East. Choose any of the next 3 options, and a guard will rush in to tell Veldaban that they are under attack from chaos dwarves. A cut scene will play and take you to the guard tower; then they will say there’s a chaos dwarf inside with a new type of weapon.

An Order for Chaos-
Tell them you will deal with the chaos dwarf, and then that you are ready. A cut scene will show Veldaban walking inside, follow him and then climb up to the top floor where you will be attacked by a Chaos Dwarf wielding a hand cannon. It can attack with both Range and Melee, and a good strategy is to wear melee armor and use the protect from ranged prayer. Once its dead, pick up the Slip of Paper it dropped and talk to Veldaban. Tell him about the slip of paper and he will tell you that it is a Grand Exchange order slip. He will then ask you to go to the Grand Exchange and see what they know about it.

Drunken Rampage-
Tell him you will take it there, and then head to the Grand Exchange. Once there, speak to one of the Grand Exchange clerks and mention the order slip, you will be handed a package containing some odd items. Now head to the pub in Keldagrim East and speak to Veldaban. Choose every talk option available, and get him a Guardsman’s Stout when he asks for it. When the option for Let’s Go comes up, choose it. A cut scene will show you heading to the HQ and Veldaban fighting with the Supreme Commander. Eventually Veldaban will leave, and mention that you will figure out the package.

The Boot Path-
Head South East to where the Chaos Dwarf was earlier, and investigate some footprints directly south of the Tower. Now take all of the items out of the package, and use the boot on the footprints, follow the trail of footprints that appears heading to the south west. Use the bowl on the fire to the east of the wall to put it out, then take the bowl off and use the Rod on it. Now turn the rod and a tunnel will appear where the footprints end, head west through the tunnel and go through the next doorway to find yourself next to a mine cart. Use one of the colored stones on the Dwarven Machinery and then ride in the cart. You will hit a dead end, and then head back to the beginning. Your character will suggest that you speak to Veldaban for help.

Cart Controller-
Head back the way you came, and choose the Back to Keldagrim option to appear next to the Black Guard HQ. Head inside and speak to Veldaban, tell him about the secret door and then head out to show him. Walk all the way back to the mine cart, and then Veldaban will talk to you. Once you are done talking, head over to Machinery and try to use it. He will tell you a bit about it, and then you should tell him to take the stones while you ride the cart. Get into the cart, and then choose the stones in this order: yellow, green, yellow, green, green, and then yellow for the rest of the options. Once you arrive at your destination, pull the bridge lever to lower the bridge and let Veldaban join you.

Brunolt and Hilda-
Now head to the South and open the prison door. Speak to one of the prisoners and tell them to head back to Keldagrim. After they leave, head farther south and turn one of the switches by the door. Veldaban will remember how they work, and help you open the door. Now head through the doorway, and watch the cut scene that follows. After the scene finishes, a level 100 Chaos Dwarf Hand Cannoneer will attack. Quickly head through the door that’s next to you and speak to Veldaban.

Hilda Helps-
Ask why he shouted, and then say that it wasn’t Hilda. Tell him that there’s more stuff in the package and then once your done talking use the metal rectangle on the nearby sorting machine to jam it. Now use the turnscrew from the package on the machine to loosen it from the wall and push it over. Squeeze through the hole in the wall and then climb into a mine cart to escape. Now you will see a cut scene at the consortium showing Veldaban quitting the Black Guard, and then the quest will be complete!
