To start Dwarf Cannon, speak to Captain Lawgof at the location marked on the Guide Map. Tell him you would be honored to join the Black Guard. He will then tell you that the goblins are attacking and that you need to repair the railings. He will give you 6 railings and a hammer, now go through the gate right below him and head to eastern edge of the fence by the water.
Repairing Those Railings-
Start inspecting the wall railings all the way down the wall, when you come to one that is broken your character will attempt the fix it. Alternatively, you can just look for the railings that are slightly bent, but it can be easy to miss one. There’s a chance of failure, which will cause a very small bit of damage to you but will not use up the railing. If you fail, just try to fix it again. Once you have used up all 6 railings go back and speak to the Captain for further instructions.
Who watches the watchtower-
He will then ask you to check up on their watchtower to the South, which they have lost contact with. The tower is just a few spaces south of the gate, climb up the ladder underneath it and then climb up to the 3rd floor. Take the dwarf remains lying on the floor and then head back to the Captain. Talk to him to hand over the remains, and he will ask you about Lollk, who should of also been at the tower. Now you need to find Lollk, who is in the goblin base.
Cave Map-
A Tiny Dwarf-
Head to where the base is marked on the guide map and enter the Cave Entrace. Head to the North West corner of the caves and search the crates around the marked area on the map to find Lollk. Talk to him and then head back to the Captain by climbing over the Mud pile by the entrance. He will ask you one more favor, the goblins damaged their cannon and nobody knows how to fix it. Tell him you will see what you can do and he will hand you a toolkit.
The Cannon-
Select the toolkit and use it on the cannon directly to the West to open up a repair interface. Use the right tool on the Spring, then the middle tool on the bottom safety switch, and then the left tool on the bottom gear. Talk to the Captain again, and he will tell you he has no idea what it uses for ammo. He will ask you to go the Black Guard base to find out what it is. Agree, and then head to the base which is the dwarf buildings below Ice Mountain and North of Falador. Speak to Nulodian inside one of the buildings, he will hand you some notes and an ammo mould. Head back to the Captain and talk to him to complete the quest!
