What You Need: Swamp Paste
Requirements: Level 30 Firemaking
The Start-
To start the quest speak to Caroline, who is found east of Ardougne.
She will tell you that her husband and son went to the fishing platform
a few days ago and have not returned. tell her you will try to find them
and she will suggest a man named Hogart may be able to help you. Hogart
should be located slightly north of you, speak to him and he will tell
he needs some swamp paste to fix his boat. Give him the paste and he
will then take you to the fishing platform.
A day on the fishing platform-
Once you arrive on the fishing
platform head to the northeast and climb up a ladder. You will find
Kennith, the son, hiding in a building to the west. You will be able to
shout across some crates by right clicking them while you are in the
building, Kennith will tell you Kent went to get help a long time ago.
Go speak to Hogart again and he will take you to a small island, where
Kent is. Kent will you tell you that the Slugs control peoples minds,
then he will pull one of you. Speak to Hogart again and you will arrive
back at the fishing platform. When you try to climb back up the ladder
in the northeast some fishermen will block your way. Head southwest
until you come to a person named Bailey and talk to him to get a torch,
now grab a piece of broken glass from nearby and get some damp sticks
from the northeast area of the platform.
Rescuing Kennith-
Use the broken glass on the stick
and the sticks will turn into dry sticks, now select the option to rub
the dry sticks together and be used to light the torch. now head back up
Kennith, try talking to Kennith but he won't come with you. Now head to
the east wall of the building and kick off a loose panel. Speak to
Kennith again then head over to the nearby crane. Rotate the crane so
that Kennith can get onto it. Now go speak to Hogart again to head back
to dry land. Now all you have to do is speak to Caroline and the quest
will be finished!
